The first stable release of Taxonews for Drupal 7.

Essentially the same as the latest -dev and -beta versions on the various earlier -dev, unstable, -alpha, -beta and -rc of Drupal core.

The DRUPAL-6--1 release is supposed to be the last production release for the Drupal 6 branch of Taxonews.

This beta incorporates all fixes accumulated since DRUPAL-6--1-0 and should be tested as a potential release candidate

- several bug fixes since 6.1.0
- 100% unit test incorporated
- better inline documentation (api.module)
- faster in some edge cases and not slower in normal operation

Access control compatibility validated since Drupal core 6.16 (SELECT DISTINCT issue in 6.15 and below), tested with tac_lite.

Release notes

This is the stable 5--1-1 release for Taxonews. It is basically the same as the latest 5--1-dev, including one small bug fix over 5--1-1-RC. Users of 5--1-1-RC should upgrade, users of the dev package won't see any change.

There is no further version expected on DRUPAL-5, considering how far we are already in the DRUPAL-7 lifecycle.

This is the release candidate for the first stable version in the D6 branch. It is mostly a quality-improvement release:

• better wording on the settings form,
• full new french translation
• faster than previous versions, with both less queries and less code being executed
• all currently known bugs have been removed
• better coding compliance with OSInet coding standards

The only notable new feature is the change in block deltas numbering. These are no longer abstract sequence numbers but the TIDs of the terms on which they are based, which improves change resiliency over the previous scheme.

Release notes

This is the current stable, version for Drupal 5.x. It was expected to be the last one, but some Drupal 6 changes have been backported and a final version will be produced before leaving full support, when Drupal 6 is released and the 6.x branch becomes fully supported.

You might want to try the -dev branch instead; changes are mostly quality fixes, no new features.

Future development now goes in the DRUPAL-6 branch.

First version built for Drupal 5.

• now requires PHP 5.1
• OOP used to reduce outer symbol visibility: all constants and non-hook/non-theme methodes are static methods of the module class
• abide by the OSInet coding conventions where possible

This development release is based upon the stable version 1.10 (4-6--1-0 / 4-7--1-0), so it should be usable as a drop-in replacement on Drupal 5.1 upgrades from 4.6 or 4.7. In most cases, the -dev version is better than the official release, so you might want to try it: it is not supposed to be bleeding edge.

Release notes

This is the reference version for Drupal 4.6 and 4.7: same code, since until that version Taxonews has been maintained compatible with both 4.6 and 4.7 in the same code.

Since 4.6 support is dropped, it will not be updated for DRUPAL-4.6.
