Can this module assign roles according to email address domain?

Issue Summary

Hi - I haven't actually tried this module yet as I'm using D6, but it looks promising.

I need a module which allocates new users to predefined roles if their email address matches a certain domain - eg "user@group1.com" would automatically be put into a role "group1".

Am I looking in the right area here? Or would something like Organic Groups be more likely?
