I'm not sure what to do with the tgz file? I'm not at all familiar with i10n server.

Ok, I looked into it and I don't think items in the 'modules' directory should have separate translations...it should all be in the base .po file.
You do realize that anyone with CVS access can commit directly to the 'translations' directory, right? I tend to prefer to let translators simply do that so I don't have to be a roadblock for you.

If someone has a views translation (new or updated translation for any language) and unable to commit it into the repository, then attach it to this issue, and I or someone else will gladly commit your translation..
