The 3.0 release will replace the old 1.x and 2.x branches of the connector. Otherwise the code is functionally the same as the 1.x and 2.x branches without Acquia Search.
This should be the last RC of the 2.x branch of connector before release. In this RC, features and sync'd with 1.x, making the only difference between versions the inclusion of Acquia Search for Solr3/4 in the 1.x version.
This should be the final RC before a full 1.24 release of connector with D9 support. This RC removes all patches and requires Search API Solr 1.9 to work.
This update makes a small change by updating to the latest version of Search API Solr and Search API Solr Multilingual. It removes the required patches from rc1.
This is a major release for the 1.x version of connector if you're using Acquia Search Solr 3.x/4.x. Specifically this introduces support for the following
* Solarium 6 in Search API Solr
* Drupal 9 support
* Require Search API Solr Multilingual
If you're testing Drupal 9 with Acquia Search Solr 3.x/4.x, please give this RC a try and report issues in the queue.
This release introduces support for both the legacy SOLR4/3.5 service, as well as the new SOLR 7 service. If you're having any issues using either one of these services, you can safely revert back to 3.6. Please file any issues you have in the issue queue!
PS: Support for SOLR7 requires the newest version of Apache Solr, 7.x-1.12.
This release brings back Acquia Search as a stub module to ensure customers can upgrade to the new version of Acquia Search (SOLR7) using Acquia Search Solr module.
Acquia Search users should not use this release. Wait for 8.x-1.21. There is a regression that affects connections to Acquia Search: #3121854: Solr requests fail authentication
This release includes an update hook that moves some configuration into the state system. Be sure to run update.php and re-export your configuration (if you are using configuration management).
Acquia Connector 8.x-1.x will continue to have Acquia Search built-in. Acquia Connector 8.x-2.x does not have Acquia Search included, and users should download Acquia Search Solr.
Acquia Search dependencies were removed from Acquia Connector's composer.json in this release.
If you use Acquia Search, run composer require drupal/acquia_search to ensure that search dependencies are installed.

Important
Acquia Connector 7.x-3.x is required to use Acquia Insight with the new Acquia Cloud interface.
If your website is not hosted on Acquia Cloud, to ensure that its information continues to be reported to Acquia Insight, after upgrading the module you must specify the website’s name in the module's interface. For details, see the Status page on your Drupal website.
Update Acquia Search to work with search_api_solr 8.x-1.0-beta1. Note that if you upgrade acquia_connector without upgrading search_api_solr to 8.x-1.0-beta1 your search will break.
This release improves Acquia Insight integration for Drupal sites running in a multisite mode. Now, each site in a Drupal multisite can be connected to Acquia Insight as a separate record.
