I use the gmap-location combination now.
Would it be possible to use the data from my location tables in this module?

I thinking about a migration module, but I don't want to code it for the 5.x version........ maybe for the 6.x

The migration module is not yet implemented, but there is a module "GMaps Views Location" which allows you to build GMaps map views with geodesical data managed by the location module.
