Hello,

I don't know why, but as user 1 I can't access the pathauto UI, I've now added authenticated users to let administer the pathauto settings and now I can access them. I don't know if it's a bug or other settings, because I didn't try it on a clean install.

Maybe some ideas?

TIA,
Fossie

Well, nobody else has reported this and as uid1 I have no problem accessing the UI. Does the problem persist? Maybe it was just temporary?

I don't know, I allowed (for the moment) access to authenticated users and it worked.

I didn't noticed this in the past, maybe some setting (or other module on this intallation).

Thx anyway,
Fossie

I can confirm this bug, i had the same issue. My uid1 can not access the Pathauto settings. Temporary workaround is to create a role with permission for pathauto settings.

I'm not able to get to the pathauto UI via uid1 or via another account with pathauto permissions.

All I see under the administer by module page is:

Pathauto
Provides a mechanism for modules to automatically generate aliases for the content they manage.

* Configure permissions
* Get help

And under the help page:

Pathauto administration pages

* Configure permissions

I've tried reinstalling the module, updating the menus and installing the dev module, without success.

My permissions for test purposes are set to:

administer pathauto - All
notify of path changes - All

However, it is not possible to access the configuration page via any user type.

@bacchus101 - thanks for the feedback. Can you clarify what URL you are attempting to access?

I am trying to get to the page that offers such things as bulk updates per content type, transliteration settings, path variables used in url creation etc.

I don't know the url off hand as I usually just click on the link in the administer by module page and it brings me to those settings (which is what's currently missing.)

@bacchus101 - that is why I'm asking you ;) The URL changed from 5.x to 6.x - please see the README.txt and the upgrade guide. The new location is admin/build/path/pathauto.

But I didn't upgrade! This was a new install. I shouldn't have to read that, lol!

Ok. Umm, well now that I see the error of my ways I'm going to back away slowly then run. Thanks for the friendly redirect. ;)
