hey hey.
Just started using the module now.
I went in and created one and everything worked as expected - later on I came back and edited the menu display name. This caused the whole menu to disappear (except the title). Couldn't get it back so I had to delete it an recreate it from scratch.

StevenWill commentedI also had the menu items disappear after editing the menu.

rcrowther commentedI've been a bit programmer-high-handed about this issue in the past. To anyone who got on the end of this, I apologize. I don't like it when other programmers get all sensitive about their work, then I go and fall for it myself.
Anyhow, I don't have a definitive answer. It was hard to spot when this is happening. But at one stage, Version 3 started dropping menus like tissues from an hippopotamus with a bad cold.
I've tracked down two very different possibilities, and fixed them. One was an admin failure (could be the first report), and one is incredibly obscure that involves untrustworthy words, a static variable in core, and an overdose of enthusiasm.
I don't think this is over yet, so the issue stays active.
I know it's tedious, but your report won't help much unless you can tell me just what you were doing when it happened. Like jp did above.
Menus can always be re-built using the emergency 'treemenu rebuild' link in admin. If that doesn't work, that tells us a lot - crucial configuration options have gone missing - narrows things down to about 5 lumps of data.
