Currently (at least on safari) the login block does not allow storing of usernames/passwords, and I don't see a convenient way to use it with shttp://

let's keep this to one issue per issue. :)

i'm not sure what to tell you on this one -- it might be a shortcoming in safari. i use opera, and the password storage works just fine.

if you come up with a patch that addresses the safari issue, feel free to post it and reopen the issue.
