See link http://drupal.org/node/327360 - same problem in D6 version. Appears to be a conflict with SWFObject [Swftools module?], not allowing YouTube videos to embed - other 3rd providers seem to work fine.
Can't believe the only solution is to disable SWFObject, so thought I'd flag this up in case this as an easy problem to solve within EMFIELD.
