Linking stories/blog entries to events

My Linux users group uses Drupal on its website with your event module, what we are after is a way to link stories/blog entries to events in the calendar. So for instance:

- John wants to do a presentation on catfish at the next meeting
- In the event module there is an event titled "meeting" set on a particular date
- When John creates a story/blog entry about his presentation for the next meeting he is given an option to assign it to an event, if he does so then we would like to see that reflected somehow on the calendar. Maybe just a list of stories/blog entries linked to that event on the event's node page?
