I just installed last dev version of Dec 04, put in the correct credentials, and the module cannot login. I see that there's an API key, but in the Drupal module there's no place for such an API key... am I missing something? The user account has been aproved by mailchimp...Thanks very much in advance.

The API key(s) are automatically retrieved (and generated if necessary) by the MailChimp API. All you need to provide is your username and password.

That said, I did just find a bug where a username or password with special characters, such as $ or &, causes authentication errors. Perhaps this is the problem you're experiencing.
