I have a situation where a user will create an unpublished node and attach files to it. I would like another user with permission to edit this node to be able to attach files to it as well. Right now, when the second user attempts to attach files while the node is unpublished, I get a "validation error".

Anyone know the solution to this?

I am working on the same problem - we just ran an update and are still having troubles. We are using Drupal 6
