I've got a an interesting problem that I'm trying to dope out. I'm in the middle of building a Drupal 5 site that has 3 types of user profiles and each user has a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 3 profiles (blogger, "expert", and average user).

I was originally thinking I could use profile.tpl.php to redirect based on a session variable, but that feels like a cheat to me. I've been looking at some of the user as node modules trying to figure out if that will work and haven't gotten anywhere with it. So I'm looking for advice.

Any Thoughts would be appreciated.

This is much easier in d6 with the content_profile module. If it were me, I'd want to choose a path that will facilitate an eventual upgrade to that module. That pretty much leaves you with the nodeprofile module for d5 since I don't believe the bio module handles multiple profile types.

Wish I could use d6 for this project. Unfortunately I'm just doing some contracting, d5 had been selected as the platform before I walked in. They've already hacked node.module to the point where I'm not sure this is still Drupal ;). nodeprofile it is! Thanks!
