Is there a way to prevent the fused view showing duplicates?

Eg, using the artists and CDs example from the docs, my primary view is artists, my secondary view is CDs.
A fused view will repeat the artist in several rows, one for each CD.
Is there a way to only show the first CD for that artist, and so only show the artist in one row?
