Right now it appears that that audio module does not use and is not aware of Taxonomy. I believe that it should, at the very least, be Taxonomy aware such that the audio url also provides the option to create or link to a taxonomy term. It has no disadvantages and many potential advantages.

uh, i've got no idea what you're talking about. you can totally put a taxonomy on the audio nodes.
