I've been a member of Drupal.org for about a month now. I have 14 pages on Drupal.org bookmarked in my browser so I can keep track of things I'm interested in. Isn't there an easier way? It would be nice to be notified by e-mail when there are changes... and this happens for 'issues' that I create, but not for other forum topics that interest me, etc. Perhaps the subscriptions module should be installed on Drupal.org? (I know... the load on the server is probably too high to do that.) How do Drupal.org power-users keep track of what is going on here? Thanks for any advice...

WordPress Favorites
I'm coming from WordPress and they have a new feature in their forum called Favorites. Same function as Subscription or "Watch this topic" but I use it all the time. Otherwise, I have to comment on the topic (like I'm doing now) so that I can see it in My Account --> Track.
Which, by the way, is how I follow topics, shouchen.

Thanks
Thanks... I can see myself submitting lots of "I want to track this node so I am posting a comment" comments... :-)
A couple things
Here are some ways that you could follow things.
1. "my account" > "track" (follow topics which you've commented on)
2. Subscribe to the RSS feed for the term you are interested in
Of course the situation could be better. It would be nice to be able to subscribe to individual issues or nodes. I submitted a feature request for issue subscriptions but haven't had time to try making a patch. Here it is if anyone wants to take a crack at it.

A favorites feature would be nice because I don't necessarily want to be emailed about every update to a node but I would like to have a quick list of nodes I want to follow when I visit the site.
Perhaps a "track this node" option which would add the node to your personal track page, even if you haven't commented, would be the answer.
Good idea...
I like the idea of 'track this node'! Also, an option to 'stop tracking this node' would be nice on the personal track page.
recent posts
You can also follow the conversations you're participating in by using the "recent posts" menu item. Click on "recent posts" then click on the "my recent posts" tab. Hope that helps.
