Cannot get retease to function in 5.12, 5.13 nor 5.14

I've tried it now on three different installations with these different versions 5.12 -> 5.14.
Installation seems ok. no errors, i can enable module and it appears on admin section correctly.
I tried different settings (how many teasers are done at one go) but it just doesn't move from 0%. Also I tried to run cron manually several times and been waiting for a day to get this it moving without progress.
I wonder what could be wrong

And nothing in watchdog either to help me forward :/

Some progress made: This might be an issue with conflicting module. I was able to get this to work with clean installation.
Suspecting that Content templates module might have it's fingers on the foulplay.
