Hello,

I really like the concept of mini modules and recently added one under "Home » Beyond the basics » Snippets » PHP snippets » Mini modules » Mini modules for Drupal 6.x" (http://drupal.org/node/347659).

I think the mini modules would be better placed directly under "Home » Beyond the basics » Snippets" because as full modules they are more than just snippets.

Or one could create a separate category "module snippets" and put the mini modules there, together with the already existing module snippets.

Kind regards,
Frank

That sounds reasonable to me, although I should note again that the whole parent/child directory structure doesn't seem to work well for snippets.

We really need a completely different way to organize snippets, maybe using tagging and Views, so that people can explore, sort and filter them in different ways. I think that people would often be looking for a way to implement a particular functionality rather than a particular type of code.

Lee took the words out of my mouth. In the redesign we should move snippets and such completely away from the book structure and move to tagging and views to make sense of the "bucket." I'm inclined to just wait on any restructuring of that entire section until we get to implementing the redesign since I think it will change drastically at that point anyway.
