I was having problems using CCK textarea field and Wysiwyg module.

The wysiwyg editor wasn't loading because Better formats module. I needed to change the weight on the Better formats to make it work together.

Maybe set the default weight on the module to something abit heigher then 0 like 10 or something.

Sounds like a bug that was fixed in beta2. Can you confirm that you are experiencing this in beta3.

Increased weight to 100. I think this might have been causing other hook race issues but I have not been able to replicated them on my dev site. Hopefully, this helps.

Please re-open with more information if you are still experiencing an issue with beta4.

I was with beta3. But at first i was using beta1 and then upgraded to beta3. Maybe the weight update wasn't in the update hook?

Correct. I am not writing update hooks for the alpha/beta series. You will need to reinstall the module. The weight change though is the only one that would need update at this point.
