Please add support to have link-only audio nodes, i.e., nodes where you don't have to upload an MP3. Instead, you should be able to link to any MP3 (e.g., on ourmedia.org, archive.org, etc.). This MP3 should then be used in the RSS enclosure to properly support such "link-podcasts"
(see http://www.hermann-uwe.de/podcast for an example)...
Thanks, Uwe.

Colin Brumelle commentedBer is looking at some changes to the file API that will make this possible. I agree that this is absolutely mandatory, and I can't wait to get it to work. As tempting as it is to try and add this directly to the audio module, going through a redesigned file api is a better and more sustainable approach.
Cheers!

Bèr Kessels commentedIf you really want to add it here, I dont see a problem. The fileAPI is cool, and heavy under development, btu that does not mean that we cannot add cool features in the mean time to projects like this.
In fact, I think its a good idea, to have some code and functions in a contrib (audio modukle) that we can copy-paste in future in the fileAPI
I will work out the plan for the remote storage tonight, so that you guys can shoot at it :) (or code at it)
