how do i extend this to use by each user
I really loved the video, the first question is i see all the modules 5.x and we r using 6.x, will that work?
Also u video shows everything in admin mode, can a normal user would be able to create image groups/galleries and can upload that. We need this facility.
Though some of the user
Though some of the user interfaces of the modules might look a little different, the basic methodology and modules are the same for d6 (thought I think the video uses the thickbox module and i now use lightbox2).
Once you set it up, if you give users the appropriate permissions they can create images and galleries.

the most simple module to create a standard "image" gallery would be the image.module which comes bundled with an image gallery.module addon.
image.module only handles images as far as I am aware and is not a "meda" gallery. Beyond that you may also want to investigate the acidfree.module which also provides image galleries.
on a test installation, I"d test the moduels from the media category to find the one that had the feature set I want.
