expatme, this module has been developed on Drupal 7.0 because it is a first implementation and we wanted to use the latest development version on both sides (Drupal and Dokeos).
What's your question exactly? Where did you see Drupal 6 here?
Hi, we are still working on this module, it is not stable yet (although the latest improvements were mostly oriented towards security). We started on the version 5 package but we will apply all this to later versions of Drupal soon (it's just that we had to start from a version and the 5th had been worked on a little more than the others when we started last time). We have meetings once a month where we generally go forward with this, and Dokeos 1.8.6 should be out next week with all the webservices integrated, so please be patient (or help us do it).
We have been playing out of the rules for a while, but we should fix it now.
Unless we started on D7, once we started the D6 and D5 branches, the preferred release *should* be D6, since is the current Drupal *stable* version. That said, our work flow changes to:
1. Develop in mainly D6
2. Port from D6 to D7
3. Backport from D6 to D5
NOTICE: D5 will no longer be supported after September 1 (D7 core code freeze), so it brings 4 months left only for Dokeos D5 branch
To answer the question: "Backport for D6" is not applicable anymore.
Well, it's okay to work on D6 brach like the main one.
Yesterday, we work on finish D5(we have lot of commits there, so we finished it) and today I poted them to D6; so starting now, D6 IS the main branch :D

gluonvision commentedI would very much like to see a Drupal 6 module for Dokeos, especially for videoconferencing.
It will be still a long time before more involved websites use Drupal 7.
But Drupal 6 is being used more and more.
