Collapse Player for MP3?

Flashnode seems to be exactly what I need, to allow users an easy way to upload MP3 files. The issue I'm running into, however, is that when they play MP3s, the player stays full size, showing a big, black box. Is there a way the player could be collapsed for MP3s to only show the control bar? I tried to set a small value for the movie height, but any value except zero in there seems to cause the player to not appear at all.

I should have mentioned, I'm using the JW Player for playback.

Sounds like the ideal solution would be to have Flashnode (or SWF Tools) automatically set the showdisplay variable to false if the file is an MP3, but in the meantime a workaround is to set the height to 20 and the width to 400. (my problem before was trying to only set the height, apparently).
