I've tried removing my iCal feed content type and I've tried regular RSS feeds, it seems that only iCal feeds are (seemingly randomly) promoting events to the front page despite all the workflow settings being set not to.
I'm not sure what I can provide to demonstrate this. I'm using the latest everything, I create a feed content type and enable the iCal parser on it, ensure that "promote to front page" is not set on the feed, set the parser to create "event" type nodes (also set by default not to appear on the front page), save the feed, "refresh" the feed, check my front page, and my events appear there.
Thoughts? Help?

ekes commentedI'm not sure how this is even possible I'm afraid. The parser really shouldn't be, and I can't see how it could be, changing this. The feedapi node extension has complete control over this.
Have you discovered more...?

FoolsRun commentedI have, sorry, I forgot to update this. I missed the setting in the content type definition that defaults to automatically promoting three stories to the front page.
