Or, maybe I am missing the point.
Can I use my own webcam with this module?

The module retrieves an image at regular intervals from a predefined location. If your webcam allows you to upload a still image at regular intervals, or if it can operate as a web server, you should be able to enter the location of that image which will refresh every X seconds.
