HI,

Don't know if I'm doing my part right--I have a cvs spreadsheet w/ cck fields--I know that feature isn't ready for public consumption yet. When I upload my spreadsheet, will the node title and body upload and everything else be ignored. Or will the spreadsheet not upload at all. (My results are 'not loading at all', but I may be doing something wrong on my end.)

according to the project page, CCK doesn't work at all yet with this for Drupal 6.x. see: http://drupal.org/project/node_import

What does not work?
ALL OTHER THINGS do not work!

No books
No forums
No menu
No polls
No profile fields for users
No upload (attachments)
NONE of the contrib modules such as CCK or Location

Thanks for the quick reply!
My question--should have said it this way the first time, mea culpa-- is, do I need to make a modified spreadsheet w/ only title, body and taxonomy, or can I upload my original spreadsheet, knowing that cck won't upload. Right now, I've tried it both ways, and nothing uploads, so I think I'm doing something wrong.

Not all columns of the spreadsheet needs to be mapped to fields. If you only map title and body, only those columns will be used.

But: if one of the CCK fields is required (without a default value), the validation will fail and the row will not be imported.

Can you tell us what the problem is you encounter?

Finally have my house cleared of holiday guests and ready to send feedback--I see that youv'e already moved ahead a few versions. Wonderful! Will install newest dev in the next few days and will carefully note what happens
