This occurs irrespective of any permissions settings, which seem to be completely ignored.

I have tested this systematically using a few authenticated users,
all can read all other private nodes, including those from admin !

Anonymous is correctly blocked.

BTW I have no other access modules installed.

Please if this is not a bug explain how to change the

I've been unable to duplicate this problem. Is it possible that you gave the 'view private content' permission to authenticated users? That would give them the ability to see all private content, regardless of author.

The same happens on my small site. I only have 3 roles: Guest, Authenticated Users, Administrators and I only gave the administrator group the permission to view private content. Private content is blocked for anonymous but not for authenticated users. Attached my permissions setting for the roles.

And are you using any additional access control modules alongside 'private'? I need to do some investigation into how they interact with each other.

Yes I am the same problem and i use workflow access so i think there are a conflict. How we can set priority of access module ?

Hello I have 3 roles Anonymous Authenticated and emp i want 2 show my search block to all authenticated users but it shows only admin not to emp n other authenticated user....please comment....
