First off I'd like to say I love this theme. Great Work!!!! However if I enable the optional book module with Drupal, any node I go to, will display using the base genesis theme.
I have not modified any code from Drupal or your theme. Any ideas?

Sorry for the empty post.
I have tried this with the latest Genesis 6.x-1.x-dev as well but still tha same thing.

Try clearing your browser cache.
I run book module on my test site with no problems. The node type should not affect the display of this theme, I would think this is probably a caching issue.
