I am using the Giordani theme and having some issues finding the way we can add news feeds to the front page of our site. Has someone else faced this issue?

You want this to "be" the front page?
in a block on the front page? or in some way only part of the front page?

I guess anywhere on the front page... I would like the news feed to be listed on the front page. Preferably in the left of right hand blocks of the page. I did not find a way to display the news from the feed aggregator module on the front page. I kind of found that odd because having news on the front of a site (not just after someone logs on) is a good idea.

It helps a great deal if you mention which module is providing the feeds?
There is quite a few "feed" type modules including the core aggregator.module.

with the core module (if that's what you are talking about), you have a path yoursite/aggregator

you can set this as the default front page in administer -> site settings -> default front page

Go to http://www.your_domain.com/admin/settings/site-information

On the bottom of this page you can add "aggregator" in a inputbox after http://www.your_domain.com.

The your news feed will appear on the front page.
