after enabling dhtml menus, admin menu wont open

So i am new to drupal, but i downloaded dhtml menus and extracted them to all/modules. After enabling them, when i click on the administer link nothing happens. usually it shows the page where you can change settings, add modules, etc. no menu even drop down like normal....any ideas why this is happening? i am logged in as the administrator too. i tried closing the browser, logging out then in with the same results. Thanks.
