I've been building a site. The only user account is UID1. I am normally already logged in when I go to the site.

I ftp'd up all the modules recommended for ubercart. When I returned to the site, I was logged out. I tried to log in w/UID1 account and get "Access Denied" page. The home page is still at default (/node ?) and there are a couple things promoted on the front page (a basic page and two CCK content type entires).

I can also access mysite.com/user/login. I enter userID and password and get Access denied. I request new password, get the email, follow the link, get "reset password" page with login button, when I hit the login button, I get Access Denied page.

Also, anonymous used to have access to a poll published on the front page and that access is not longer there (it displays results instead allowing a vote). The teasers for the three nodes is displayed and I can go to read more and see entire page, etc. It appears to allow me to make a comment entry (but that is qued for moderator, so that's as far as I know).

I'm obviously missing something here. Can anyone help me. Again, this is for UID1.

Okay, still trying to figure this out, hoping that I don't have to restart from scratch.

When I go to the site, I'm not logged in. When I loging, it shows me loged in under the "currently online" but gives me deinied access page????? This is for UID #1. I thought the root user could not be locked out of anything? I've checkd the DB and it is in fact UID #1 I do have permissions set for anon and authenticated users. Can those be preventing UID#1 from having access to any pages?

any help would really be appreciated. This is so frustrating, I really don't want to spend a whole day rebuilding, I would really like to figure this out
