Thanks Alex for coming back, what I had in mind was more like a page where drupal detects the columns and their titles in the csv file and I can select the fields in the content type where they are mapped.
Many MySQL import tools have this association :)

Use feedapi_mapper - doesn't it show you the full list of available fields on node/x/map ?
