I have a site that we had some custom work on. The company extended the functionality of drupal and did a multi site set up, i think. We have one site now but plan to add more. Followed this video: http://learnbythedrop.com/drop/70 (which I have used before when i upgraded last time and it worked fine) and intended to upgrade to drupal 6.8 today. I have upgraded drupal before so I don't know why this is skrewing up. I followed the instructions on the video to the letter and now our site, complete with our custom theme is trashed. See here: http://beta.wimaxforum.org

The module and theme pages are white when i go to look at them or change things. I can't get my custom theme to work. I switched it to my custom theme and got locked out of the site at first. So I FTPed up to it and changed the name of my theme to make it default to garland.

Also, LOT of modules were missing after I upgraded and I had to go re down load them and add them back in. Some modules like OOP did not install right and I had to delete them. We had a module too called _name_of_company_we_did_our_custom_work_with and now it's gone and I can't find it. I backed up all my files, well the folders, some of the smaller files I didn't like changelog.txt or the old 6.6 robots.txt. I backed up cron, includes, install.php, my sites folder, misc, modules, patches, profiles, scripts, themes, update.php and xmlrpc.php. I backed up my database.

I have no idea where all the modules I lost went, so I had to go re download them from the site. How could they vanish is I had my modules folder backed up and my modules folder within my sites folder backed up!!? We also don't really have the budget to go back to the company we worked with for our customization so it's not really an option yet, just to have them fix is.

I reinstalled the core files more than once too and ran update.php several times too and nothing helped.

Someone please help. I don't know how to trouble shoot this on my own.

I read this thread: http://drupal.org/node/347296 and I don't believe my problem is related to it. My php memory limit is 96 and it remains so. I checked my php.ini file where I set it.

Try removing the "update status" module. That worked for me last week.

I found out our custom theme is corrupted some how. If I remove our theme, the site works. Our theme is a subtheme of zen. Can you help on this?
