The name of an actual file has an impact on SEO.

We're attempting to give all our videos SEO-friendly filenames, but when we upload them to CDN2 via this module, the final filenames consist of a huge, complex hash.

It would be really nice if the hash part were a directory instead of part of the filename, and if the filenames could be our original seo-friendly, keyword-rich names.

While I'm wishing, it might be really nice if the final filenames could be created by tokens.

While friendly filenames would be ideal, we are using the file names as-is for tracking purposes. With regards to SEO, does the name of the referencing page (e.g. the page that embeds the video) itself not provide the SEO juice?

There is no such thing as too much SEO "juice." : )

The point of search engine optimization is to _optimize_, and we're given to understand that keywords in filenames are an additional step we should take.
Our SEO Expert has indicated that wherever possible, all file names for all media on our site, video, images, etc. should contain useful keywords for complete optimization, so we've been very careful to do so.
