How does imagacache works. Does it help generate all pictures and versions of it (imagecache profiles) when image is uploaded? I saw somewhere something about generating only when first requested. Need this info. And if i flush some preset. When would images be generated again?

It only generates the images when they're requested by the browser. when you flush the preset they're deleted and not regenerated until requested.
