is it just me or there is no message to say the cache has been cleared?

i think its because of either

1. Quicktabs

2. vertical tabs

This doesn't seems like a bug in Chrysalis theme.

Do you experiment this issue on a clean drupal 6 install?

Can you provide steps to reproduce this?
