Well, friendlist does try to integrate with existing modules. Privatemsg looks like a module that friendlist could benefit from.

Could this be worth a look Merc?

Hi,

perhaps this issue might help: http://drupal.org/node/288183

I think in the case of FriendList, there should be much tighter integration with privatemsg. I don't think FriendList should create new screens and just use message delivery API of privatemsg.

If privatemsg used FriendList as a lookup (almost like ACL) to determine who can message who - that would be much more ideal, since it would be much less code duplication.

Left them a message: http://drupal.org/node/371034#comment-1245166

We will give them full support if they have time to integrate with FriendList.

Hi,

I am actively working with them to make sure they use the Universal API, which will mean that they support EVERY friend-like module.

Bye,

Merc.

Hi Merc,

I am looking around the place to find how to better integrate PrivateMSG and Friendlist.
I have seen patches and ideas which involve either a 3rd module or not a complete solution.
Not too sure how to perform a patch and really all I am look for right now is a way to limit the autocomplete user list to a users friendlist only.
Any help would me very much appreciated.

Cheers
G
