Hi,
Something quite annoying is happening to me: I have enabled the forum module and now google (and others) are indexing the main page of the forum many times with different variables, thus making it look like duplicate content:
this is the same page indexed by google many times:
www.7tarot.com/forums/exchange?sort=asc&order=Replies
www.7tarot.com/forums/exchange?sort=desc&order=Replies
www.7tarot.com/forums/exchange?sort=asc&order=Created
www.7tarot.com/forums/exchange?sort=asc&order=Last+reply
Also, Google is indexing webpages that shouldn't be indexed, like:
www.7tarot.com/forward?path=node/3
or:
www.7tarot.com/comment/reply/109
and a login with destination as a variable:
www.7tarot.com/user/login?destination=forum%2F3%3Fsort%3Dasc%26order%3DC...
How can I prevent Google, with Drupal or with the robots.txt from indexing these pages that couldn't really be defined as "content".
Thanks,
Gafir

I've got the same problem.
I've got the same problem. My sitemap lists everything in the forum four or five times, once for each type of sort order. I'm using D6 and the basic forum module.
I couldn't find another Drupal forum entry about this except this one, so it seems that only Gafir and myself have this problem.
Is there anyone who knows how to prevent this? Presumably one of the ways of fixing this would be to prevent users from changing the order of the forum, but I couldn't find any way of doing this, nor find any other way of preventing multiple entries on the sitemap (or on Google).
Can anyone help?
Any progress on that?
Did anyone make progress on that?
I'm seeing the same issue in my google index.
No. Never got a reply, and
No. Never got a reply, and never found out how to fix it.
