I am following directions on the "using Drupal" book but I am having a problem with creating a "home page" and "about us page." because the page content type is missing. I only have blog, forum, and polls. I even double checked to make sure that all the neccesary modules are turned on. I have already searched the Drupal site but I did not find anything to solve my problem.

Hey,

what is your version of Drupal?

Anyway, u can try installing a fresh copy of Drupal and check if you have 'page', or create your own content type which has fields you need for your home, about us pages...

I had same problem but really didn't want to reinstall so I deleted Page and recreated it ... didn't work. Created 'Web Page' content type and that worked for whatever reason. Thanks ram_segal
