When RealName is enabled and the box Show real name in nodes is checked I cannot access user profile pages, i.e. .../user/#. When it is not checked, real names are not shown in lists etc. I use Drupal 6.5

I'm not sure I understand the problem you're trying to describe. I have no trouble accessing user profiles.

Not sure if i have the same problem but once enable Realname (6.x-1.1) and configure it to show realnames in nodes trying to load some profiles ( specifically those that have the fields populated..by default all my users have a firstname but no last name and the module is configured to pull both) i get this error

Proxy Error

The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /stage/profiles/xxxusernamexxx.

Reason: Error reading from remote server

@malukalu: please report a problem in only one issue. You reported this in a separate issue, which was correct because I don't think it is related to this issue.
