Need node_extended_stats for 6.x

I am using the views module to sort posts on my site by node views, however, I would like to sort by most viewed for a week and month besides the default day and all time.

I've read that node_extended_stats has the functionality that I need, however, it is currently only compatible with drupal 5.x

Is there another module or an easy way to solve what I need without too much PHP hacking?

My last resort is to try and convert the module to 6.x myself, but I really don't want to do that since I'm not too familiar with the coding yet.
