The profile and track tabs are great, but authoring could still present problem using Drupal. The following issues concerning display, credit, search and fiability could appear using Drupal :
- the account name appears as author name in all published content. Can be problematic : formal relations are normally based on real names. (it is possible to use an account name identical to "firstname_Lastname" but depend on user action)
- registering using the id drupal number (using civicspace but generic), the account name become the idnumber "drupalnameaccount@drupal.org". (it is possible to later rename the account).
- In case a person use two accounts, or move from an old account to a new one, how past published contents are credited?
- In case of multiple authors (case study : long article), there is no field to enter the name of the multiple authors (it is possible to write this information at the beginning of the content).
- In case the author or administrator erase the account, how past published contents are credited? The profile page seems associated to the account.
- In case you search content published by an author using its real name (using either drupal or google) what happens?
Do your have any ideas and tips to limit these problems.
It is not more simple to include a field dedicated to author name and attach it to each node?.
