CCK Taxonomy Fields + OG Vocabulary

Hey,

I'm building a website for an organization of Live Action Role Playing gamers, in which we have at least 5 game sites in my state alone. I'll have each game as a different organic group, with it's own OG Vocabulary. Each vocabulary will have game specific information used in select fields when the character is created. I really don't want to have to go through and make 30 or so different content types for characters, as currently I have no way of selecting a vocabulary in CCK fields based on the game that they belong to.

So, my question is, is there a way that I can have CCK select the vocabulary based on which OG the player belongs to, without having to make so many different content types and permissions?

Or, an alternative to this, which I have tried and failed, is to include some more fields to set the game type and sect, then have the user select which game the character is being tied to, and populate (through AHAH or AJAX, which I don't know well) the character clan and status fields.

Any information would be helpful.
