There is currently no development branch for the D5 version of this module. This will probably make it difficult for you to commit fixes to it, and it makes it completely impossible to deploy this module via CVS.

Also, this patch:

was apparently added to the DRUPAL-5 dev, but there is no dev for D5 as far as I can tell.

This is just too old to try fixing. Drupal 7 is almost out.
