when I already have a user called 'test' (path to user account is www.example.com/test) and then I create new node content with title 'test' - pathauto overrides path to user. at the end I have

In my opinion pathauto should also add _0 to new content like it happens when I create two nodes with same name.

any ideas ?

www.example.com/[title-raw] - for node

Also, I think we fixed the collision in the 6.x-1.2 version of Pathauto. Perhaps you can try upgrading?
