I'm having problems with bots following links in the event calendar even though I have a robots files. Since there are almost an infinite number of links, the bots never stop and are using too many server resources.

I don't want to make my users log in each time just to view individual events. Anyone know how to restrict the display of the event calendar to authenticated users?

Event for Drupal 8 is unrelated to older versions. If an issue similar to this one exists, please open a new issue with the 8.x branch.
