Amazon ASIN/ISBN Serch Box

So I have looked high and low for a solution here but maybe I cannot see the forest for the trees.

I have a site where I would like to have a search box that you would input an ASIN/ISBN and when you click submit the book information is presented on a node. I have installed AmazonTools and from reading the README it seems this is possible but I just have no idea where to begin on this.

Bear in mind I do not want to save the search in a node for later but simply display in info. Ultimately I would like for the gathered information to populate into a CCK form I have but for now I would just to display the information side by side in a panel with the CCK form.

Is there anyone out there doing this and if so how is it accomplished?
