Safari crashes with a huge amount of tags and checkboxes

On Drupal Digest I currently have more than 1200 tags. On IE and FF the taxonomy_browser is showing up fast and correct, but it crashes Safari completely. You can test it yourself here: http://www.drupaldigest.net/taxonomy_browser
