Ya its displaying the previous user as the newest.....

Latest new user = does not show up
Previous latest new user = is displayed on the site as the newest user

y isnt the Latest new user showing up ?

I don't see this behavior. Go to the demo site and create an account, and then upload an avatar. You'll see it appear immediately in the avatar block.
