Hello,
I have left here several messages asking for help creating a Multi Blog pages in a Drupal site, yet no answer. Also didnt find any decent and whole answer in any discussion.
The mission is to establish a Multi Blog in a site who will look like this:
1/ several Blog's. leats say 5.
2/ Each Blog will be manage by different user.
so far so good...
3/ On each Blog the assosiate info [All of them can ovieslly create with views but how to assosiate seems like an impossible mission].
- About - info about the Bloger.
- Last post - of the same Blog.
- Blogrol - Let the abillity to the bloger to link to ather good Blogs on the web.
- Archive - list of post by month+year.

Am I going in the correct footsteps? Is ther any ather way?
Is there anybody who mannage to establish a good one and would like to share with the community?

.

Drupal offers multiblogging

minesota - January 3, 2009 - 03:42

Drupal offers multiblogging out of the box.

If you want individual blogger will be able to put ''about'' info, links they want etc in a sideblock ( or header) of their individual blog page please use this small nifty module http://drupal.org/project/bloginfo
http://drupal.org/project/blogtheme allows each individual blogger to have their own theme.

The blog info can be grate, so I am dealing with the same problem, since its showing the info on each page with no relate to the blog manager. I have set up the block to apear only in blog and blog/*' but it does'nt the issue.
the blogtheme is'nt relevent here.
The two articles are basic and dont deal with this.
Seems like the snipst can work. I have tried this one but didnt succeed doing so. I have put it int he block settings and it shows the snipst on the site.
Thank you for the help

As far as I can remeber you do not have to tell Bloginfo on which pages to appear, by default it appears on an individual's blog page. You only have to activate it by telling whether to appear in the header area or a side block.

For me this works absolutely ok. May be you would like to re-try.

Yes it doe's so! nice. But

Yes it doe's so! nice. But with some real problems!
1. I do't find a way to manage it. For exmple changing the titles, and more.
2. How will the user is able to update this info? its seems like ufter set it up for the first time, then going back to the edit the profile page it is not there anymore!

accept from that, it's give's some sullution but not for the ather block's, like blgroll and more.
The thing is it's not usefull just for a Blog but as well to all ather node types. For example, If I want to view on an article the ather articles written by this autor?
Thank you

It probably means you as

It probably means you as admin have not granted proper permissions to your users :

go to admin/user/permissions

find bloginfo module

click / tick "edit own bloginfo" check box under the authenticated user
